retired life...

In my older posts I had briefly covered  few places suitable  for post retirement. Before I proceed further, I thought I should fonder over the entire gamut of retirement life.

In India, a decade or two back,  the thought of retirement usually would come to only a person  who had lead a smooth and orderly  life as an employee of  any Govt department or some  Public sector undertakings or established private company at the fag end of his carrier. Now the situation is completely changed with economic boom.  Youngster of the new generation is occupied with progressive companies with high pay packages. The buzz word among the employees of  IT industry is  "Party  Hard -Work Hard"
Similarly every one have  a fairly thought over retirement plan from the very beginning of his carrier. In-fact such planning such precision that by this year of employment he would take retirement from active employment. My point is the significance of planning a retirement life irrespective of age assumed greater proposition now.
First and foremost factor comes to a person to consider for a city to retire is the distance of the town from his native or the place where his social group is situated.  Second is the availability of medical facilities.Third is livability of the town. Fourth is cost of living of the city and ones financial status.
To select a place, I hope my list of places would help you...

Unknown places of India continues..

So far I have focused my attention over the west  coast of India especially towns south of Goa. In the list the same attention progresses. The town  next in my list is

4.  Kochi/Ernakulam, Kerala.

This city is second largest city of Kerala. It is somewhat crowded when you compare it the towns I mentioned before. There is a beach  Cherai beach in Ernakulam. The city is famous for its backwaters and these waterways are mesmerizing one.

After exploring the lesser know town which are having beaches, now I have turned my interest to mountain towns where one can retire peacefully. The towns list follows

1. Mettupalaym, Combatore, Tamilnadu.

2. Dehradun, Uttarakhand

4. Wayanad, Kerala.

For more details we can always go for net surfing with wikipedia.

After going through the probable towns/cities where one can live out our retired life, I felt the criterion to select a town depends on an one's likes and dislikes of a place.

Will come up with new updates soon.
Till then have a great time and Be Happy....

Unknown places of  India continues...

The next town comes in my list is ...

2. Udupi, Karnataka
This temple town have beautiful islands. This town is the district head quarter of Udupi district of karnataka. The town is on NH 17 and NH-13. Railway station Udupi is on Konkan railway.

More information can be seen in the following link

3. Ankola:
This town is  about 40 Kms south of Karwar in Karnataka.

This is a small town on the coast of Arabian sea. This is town is having many beaches and also temples. There are few resorts too. But the availability of all modern amenities is doubtful. The beaches of this taluk town may not be a happening place as of Goa beaches. But for serenity and natural beauty the beaches of this town would pass the test. I also believe this town would be a suitable town for my retired  life provided the real estate agents keep the land cost bloom with in limits..This town has railway line(Konkan railway) and also NH-17 connects the town with other cities.

The primary purpose of my search of towns and cities is to have a heavenly retired life in a place surrounded by natural beauty especially mountain and beach. The dream of living in a earthly paradise appears to be shattered by the exorbitant cost of those picturesque habitats in  India, thanks to the blooming real estate business.  Still my untiring pursuit  to discover my paradise in earth is on.... I cordially invite you too in my journey towards paradise....

Exploration continues....will update soon,
Till then have fun and be happy!!

Unknown places of India... continues...

Before I go into the next unknown place of my list, after sleeping over my first post, I thought I should add more details of the place which enlisted.
So Karwar, Karnataka continues... so as to explain why this place found a position in my list. The surrounding scenic points will have lasting impact on any natural lovers. For instance have a look of Magod waterfalls, which is about 80kms from Karwar:

2. Most of the modern amenities are available at reasonable cost.

The unbearably boring and brutally busy life  often forces me to take a peep inside my consciousness wondering what am I doing with my life. In one such occasions on other day, I was just mulling over the idea of passing my peaceful and uneventful retired life near a picturesque beach. This streak of thought drove me to explore all the beaches of India and of other near by countries, where I can think of retire myself without engulfing my meager savings for post retirement life. But, I found that all the known beaches are already crowded and the cost of living and other related factors  does not appeals to a guy who is all along conducting a miser life perpetually with low budget. The process revealed few nice places of India where the crowd is yet to occupy and the pristine beauty is yet blooming.
I will list out one by one for those guys who intent to follow a path alike mine.

1. Karwar, Karnataka

This is a district headquarter town of northern Karnataka just  few miles south of  district of Goa. This town is a historical town having tourist attractions at the same time not crowded as of the beaches of Goa. More details of this town can be seen from the great grand source of internet -
